I first had the idea for Homeboy when I was at university studying Digital Film & Video. In 2007, on a three-year degree course, which started in 2006, I came up with the idea and concept for Homeboy. I brainstormed, and then typed up a few rough notes and ideas for characters and situations. The inspiration for Homeboy came from my own life experiences and characters and situations that I had known while growing up.
